Jog along the ocean. Figured I'd switch it up and give the inov-8s a go since its basically all sandy trails.

Light rain and pretty god damn windy so all to myself out there. Did a 5:52 km at one point jogging on the beach into the wind, also got brain freeze at the same time.

Running to start, plus some jogging and running drills while waiting.

Was going to meet martin to run weekly course, but turns out there is a Kindergarten not on the map everyone usually meets at. I just assumed the logical place to meet was at a gravel clearing right next to the finish, turns out I was wrong.

Waited 15 mins and then tucked a map in someone else's bicycle and hoped he would spot the map if he came by.

Not really a race effort, but still harder than i3 or most of my recent night-o efforts. Ended up seeing Martin at control 7 after finishing the first loop, so with him for the next few legs from there. Also a portion of the forest on leg 16 was out of bounds that isn't shown in livelox.

Dumb mistakes on both 8 and 9 where I didn't have a concrete plan of attack for the controls worthy of night-o. In a race likely worth running all the way to the cut line on control 8, and then got helped finding 9 by martin who was right behind me.

Starting to loose confidence in my bearings last 4 or 5 legs and they seemed to deteriorate in quality. They don't look as bad on livelox, but they felt bad in the moment. I think they both feed off each other in a way. Bad bearings leads to loss of confidence, and loss of confidence leads to worse bearings.

4x 7 min w/ 90s rest. Morning intervals still feeling pretty rough.

Running out and back along a nice flat dirt path. Pretty slippy, but old shoes have no grip at this point so probably not doing me any favours there. Paces 3:27,21,22,23. Really grinding out the last two.
