Jog over to the start, a short quicker effort through terrain on the warm-up map, and than a few accelerations heading back to the start

Kind of sucks to be so far down the results list, but generally pretty happy with the run. 18 minutes after Regborn and Kinneberg. Definitely more consistent than my long distances last year, taking out a lot of the consistent small mistakes.

A guy from Hellas orienteering ended up catching me going into 6 (the long leg), after screwing up attacking the control, and the 1.5-2 min mistake on the previous leg. So running with him until 14. A string of annoying 45s mistakes 3 controls in a row in there.

Water station at 14, leaving before the Hellas guy, but after having to resort to walking through the marsh to 15, he appeared at the control with me. Than from there I never really saw him during the leg, but he always seemed to appear at a control with me. Definitely, should have had some straighter lines and/or routechoices in that ending section.

Legs pretty tired now, need to get a bit more strength in them.

Will look at more later. Not totally unexpected though, considering being in different terrain than use to, and the amount of orienteering, let alone in Scandinavia, I've been doing.

Chase start after everyone finished.

Caught up to Joel, Adam, and Lukas around control 2, and then Gustav and Noel around 8. Every taking it fairly easy. Legs still feeling pretty tired, so tried to slow myself down even more around 11.

Orienteering in Fylleryd. Wasn’t paying attention and started from the finish instead of the start. Much confusion when nothing made sense running to 1.

All good after that though. Still need to do a better job keeping direction in terrain.
