Run over to trails near the train tracks and the peak. Ran three times up the escarpment to the bend in the trail, and also followed the tracks/trail alongside them to another muddy hill I ran. Then headed back.

Compass bearings tonight, need to continue to work on looking up with my bearings and looking for a big feature (hill top, etc.). Also need to quicken the time it takes to take a bearing and avoid picking bad features to run too (trees surrounded in dead-fall or undergrowth).
10x muddy snow covered cantebury loops (400m or so) with Trav. Had a minute rest and the middle and last few having 90 second rest in between. Took between 1:19 and 1:25 each time. On another note I need to start running harder in my races ...probably felt more tired after this then the races this weekend.
