Strength & Conditioning (APFT) 4:00 [4]
shoes: Salamon Speedcross 3 - B

83 situps and 82 pushups! Personal best, and some sweet redemption for last time's fail to max situps!

Orienteering (CLDT Point Man) 30:00:00 [4] 20.0 mi (1:30:00 / mi) +1000m 1:17:54 / mi
shoes: Nike Boots

Yep, I was the point man (navigator) for 80% of our movements. I planned just about every route for every mission (until they wouldn't allow me to be point man anymore, haha), escorted the leader's recon for each mission, conferred with the PL always on precise location, and pretty much had my orienteering maps in hand tracking our pace the entire detail (8 days, 7 nights in the field). PRO TIP: bring o maps along with army 1:25,000 map.

Walked out mentally, and physically wrecked, having gotten only 2 hours a night and an irregular, rushed two meals a day depending on when I had a moment. Lost weight but gained lower back and leg strength with all the rucking, and even navigational confidence (for every movement I navigated, I was carried full military kit, which I'd say added more pressure to my navigating). Downside was the training unit from 10th mt had some "characters" who didn't give us a break the entire time, some real jerks for sure. Great training and great memories regardless, and summer's here now!
