Strength & Conditioning (Run & Obstacle Course) 40:00 [3] 3.0 mi (13:20 / mi)
shoes: Nike LunarEclipse2
Did a diagnostic IOCT, came in at around 2:45, not bad. Still got some work to do but I feel better about it now.
Probably top ten worst runs ever following the IOCT. First, I was dehydrated. Second, my knee felt every impact, every stride I did. Went in to physical trainer and she thought--judging by the size of the swelling--that it looks like tendonitis caused by overuse (#ultralong). It's weird because I have full strength in my leg and the actual wound doesn't hurt, but impact stuff like jumping down a flight of stairs would get it flared up. Did some more IOCT prep then iced it. I'll be coming in post thanksgiving to strengthen it.
Previously I would only feel my knee following a REALLY long run, but after the incident on the obstacle course, jumping has been iffy. So, the way forward, as discussed, is to take it easy next week (continue lifting to certain degree), and then revisit post-thanksgiving.
