Note
(injured)
At the beginning of practice, I was running and stepped on a branch that looked like it was healthy and would hold me but actually was not and did not. I tumbled, as one often does, but this time my upper tibia went straight into a jagged rock, producing a 2 inch wide half inch deep gash. I was sent to the ER, where after extensive cleaning, I had surgery to both clean and explore the wound. They found a frayed tendon, but thankfully not too serious so they stitched it and the remaining gash up. I'll be crutches for a week and have physical therapy for two weeks after that. Very blessed to have only partially hurt my tendon--should be back to speed in 3 weeks!
