Woke up at 2AM to complete this 12 mile ruck to conclude Air Assault School! 35 pound backpack, helmet, rifle, and uniform were worn/carried. Glad to be done!

3 no wall rappels (1 Hollywood, 1 combat, 1 lock in), and 1 helicopter (UH-60 Blackhawk) rappel! Amazing day. Didn't run because of the 12 mile the next morning.

Ran with triathlon buddy here at camp smith. Got some hills in since range gates were open. Really hot and really humid, but we kept a good tempo considering we were rappelling in the sun all morning. 2 more days left until it's over and I'll be orienteering in the Mohonk area!

First day of rappelling. Lots of fun, somewhat of a upper body workout since we control our speed via our right arm. Tons of fun going fast though

Note

Hands on and written slingload tests were today--both required a good amount focus and memorization. Sort of nerve-racking and draining, but I got through if with flying colors!

Push-ups, flutter kicks, plenty of running, sprinting, burpees, squats all in full army uniform with helmet and full canteen. Spent rest of the day outside working on slingloads--almost done!
