shoes: Brooks Green Silence

Fun sprint around the Newcastle Uni, well set course but had no top end at all and was struggling for fitness from about the 6min mark.

Hobbled my way to the first control as left side giving me lots of grief and then could not work out the first 2 controls to save myself. Map made no sense to me. Settle in for a while after that through the next few controls but the long grass was really doing me in as had no ability to lift my left foot due to the pain on that side. So I got slower and slower and then walked patches and the whole thing just wasn't pleasant at all for me. Left side has got much worse, perhaps since Marysville race... before that it was progressing ok.
