In stark contrast to the previous days, Sunday was sunny and warm. We took advantage of the fresh grooming and tracking in the morning by doing a nice classic ski on the lower trails before changing to skate skis. Really fun ski in great conditions!

Our final ski of the weekend was skating. I gave Alli a few tips, and she was picking up the technique really quickly. I did 40 minutes or so on my own at the end, working hard.

A long ski with Alli in a snowstorm. Snowing the entire time we were skiing, and wind blowing hard, especially when we were on ridges. Tracks disappeared almost immediately after we made them. Really fun ski though. I did an extra half hour after Alli was done.

Skiing! Alli and I drove up to Crystal Lake in Central Pennsylvania and had a fun weekend of staying in a cabin and skiing on a really fun trail system. This first ski was classic in very cold temperatures on a sunny day. It was mostly an exploration ski. Really nice, though occasionally quite cold.

Second ski of the day, exploring a different part of the trail network. A bit warmer this time, but still pretty chilly (high of 10F today.)

Running 45:00 intensity: (11:00 @1) + (22:00 @2) + (12:00 @5)

Attempted speedwork for the first time since hurting my back/hip while doing strength training last week. It did not feel good. I planned to do a 25 minute tempo run, but only got through 12 minutes before the left hamstring tightened up way too much.
