First time doing one of these Adventure Runs, and it was a lot of fun. Overall, a fun course, but I wasn't crazy about the controls around the lake, which were basically just a foot race. I navigated cleanly until the end, when I missed the trail coming off the road to the last control. I took a later trail, couldn't find the control (of course), and had to relocate and head back. After finishing and downloading, I discovered that I had missed #18. I didn't want the DNF, so I went back out to get it (so I got to take another crack at the last control again). With all of that screw up, I lost about 13 minutes, which moved me from 7th to 12th. Looking forward to next week!

Final race of the Salomon Autumn Trail Race Series. I'm honestly not TRYING to out-procrastinate MoBiz, but I did it again--got my number and to the line just in time)! I think I might have had exactly the same time as the last race. I came within an inch or two of kicking a squirrel down the trail. It ran in front of me and I hesitated slightly in my stride. Without that hesitation, he would have been airborne.
