Long Green at Westchester Classic. Didn't start very well and seemed to be overrunning controls. Really messed up C2 - left the trail at the corner and saw a control on a cliff band but told myself that it wasn't my control so ended up wondering around S of control until I relocated off stone fences and ran back to the control I had seen. Overshot C6, bad route choice to C7, decided against the road run for C12 in favor of overland up and over two ridges, and had a bad plan for C13. Happy I got in before the 3 hr time limit and had a good time overall.

Continental Cup Relay at the Westchester County Classic on Mountain Lakes Park map. Ran third leg of 7+ point pICO Bunny team. Rob lead out on Green and did well finishing in 9th place of 7+ point teams. Aidan took over and had a great run finishing 2nd in the category on the second green leg bring us up to 4th. My anchor leg was an "orange" which seemed to mean part green/part yellow. Didn't do a great job on the first green loop and messed up C6 right after the spectator leg and took too long to decide to go left of the lake to C10. Overall Team pICO Bunny finished 6th in 7+ teams.

Westchester County Classic Middle at Westmoreland Sanctuary on a very hot and humid afternoon (85C+). Walked the whole course but felt good about navigation for the most part on more complex and rocky but fun terrain.

Model map at Ward Pound Ridge for Westchester County Classic. Lots of rock features that weren't mapped. Green was at least one shade lighter than on midwest maps - some of it didn't even seem green compared to maps I'm used to. Linear marshes are streams with some rocks and bright green huge-leaved plants. Lesson learned - navigate on contours rather than rock features until close to the control circle.
