Orienteering race (Harbin Park) 1:06:21 [3] *** 5.4 km (12:17 / km) +140m 10:53 / km
spiked:11/13c

Fun Green course in the snow set by Orunner. The mountain bike trail system seemed much more approachable this year. I was surprised to see that I won leg 8-9 (for the green course) as I hesitated there deciding whether to dogleg back west and past the pond or take the more direct east route through the parking lot - I guess the dogleg was the best route choice by 1 sec.

Orienteering race (OCIN Camp Timberhill) 1:35:28 [3] 6.0 km (15:55 / km)

OCIN New Year's Day O at Camp Timberhill. Beautiful day with above 40ºF temps and a fun Green course. I felt pretty good about most of the course and feel like my map/terrain reading has improved. I got pulled across the canel to the ridge for C5 and had to back track. Control 7 should have been simple but it trying to cut off a loop on the trail I ended up crossing the broad spur and down into the reentrant system east of C7. The trail around the pond at 12 were confusing making my approach to C13 less than ideal.

run 18:25 [3] 2.0 mi (9:12 / mi)

Quick run on the Monon instead of my planned strength workout in the (warm) Y building. It was cool but my pace was unexpectedly quick.

run 29:27 [3] 2.47 mi (11:55 / mi)

Trail run at Marrott Park with Rob and Aidan for the first 1.7 mile when they peeled off down the Monon Trail and I made my way back to the start. The trail system along the edge of Williams Creek is deteriorating with sections of the trail having fallen into the creek over the past couple of years.
