NOL Long distance at boboyan divide on the southern border of the ACT.

Hadnt run here before and it was a great area. First control caught me out a bit and went straight although i'm not sure this was the best route and was scrappy around the control. Lost more time at 2 and then a min or two at the 4th left me feeling pretty frustrated, as i couldnt get into the map at all.

Had a bit of luck hitting the clearings just before 5 which helped me get that and then got into a good rhythm for the rest of the course.

Started to feel better and better as I got into it and finished feeling strong but unfortunately had skipped the 4th last control which was a pity as it was a rare chance to beat Craney.

Loved the terrain and a top course too, great fun weekend of orienteering.

Orienteering 35:00 [3]

NOL sprint race at CSIRO, quite a good run with no big mistakes, got a bit confused at the map change with the bunting. Finished =3rd including the juniors which was a good result for me in a sprint.

Run home from work over the top of black mtn and aranda hill with the head torch. Nice to be out cruising through the forest in my own little world after a frustrating day at work.

Running 40:00 [3] 8.3 km (4:49 / km)

Lunchtime intervals on gossan hill. 6 x 2.30 uphill loop with 1min short jog down recovery. Could still feel the weekends training in my legs and was hard work from the first effort but managed to keep them all between 2.29 and 3.33.
