Replacing post #16 of Hueston Woods lodge area permanent course (the old post had been shattered by a fallen tree, remnants were still visible.

Very sloppy job - muddy, standing water flooded the hole while I dug out the old post, which had a piece of rebar through the bottom, embeded in a hunk of concrete.

Beautiful in the forest though, light snow falling and coating most of the forest floor debris and vegetation.

removing the 10 controls that I put out just 2 days ago - the first ones to go into the woods for Flying Pig. Better luck next time...

Amazing how quickly the winds changed in a single day.

setting up orienteering course at Forest Run for MetroParks staff training. Heavy rain during setup, ended by the time the park staff arrived, but ground was still saturated.

shadowing MetroParks staff for the first 3 controls, picking up 3 controls, then later, a "walk and talk" with a couple staff members as they tried (successfully) to find a couple more challenging locations in the wooded parts of the park.
