walking warm up/down 20:00 [2] 1.0 mi (20:00 / mi)
shoes: Icebug 2012

Warm up walk and some jogging to start, plus some cool down walking afterwards.

Yesterday a piece of hard plastic support in the back of my shoe broke and about 2/3 of the way thru the course began poking me in the back of the heel. At one point, I was almost ready to take the shoe off and finish the course shoeless, but I persevered. Last night, I tried to fix it with some success, but when I started to walk to the start I quickly realized that because the back of my heel and lower ankle was cut, it was too sensitive to take the high top shoes. So had to do a quick change and ankle wrap, then hustle to make it to the start.

orienteering race 1:19:00 [4] 6.5 km (12:09 / km)
shoes: Icebug 2012

Sweetwater Creek State Park.
