Green course at Bill Yeck Park in Centerville. Matt "King of Pain" Bond demonstrated the Kruschev principle of "we will bury": by hiding controls behind unmapped trees and even sticking one down inside a rotten stump that was allegedly a "rootstock". Still fun and I can't say I lost significant time on any of the burials.

Afterwards, Sam & I enjoyed a late lunch at City BBQ with Stryder, Heidi, Morgan and Jameson. Yum.

MVOC and COO jointly sponsored the first Buckeye Goat Highlander in the steep terrain of Tar Hollow State Park and State Forest. I ended up in third, several minutes behind Tom Svobodny, and chasing but never quite catching Marek Polinski for the last couple controls. Matt Bond was 4th after being in the lead at 14 and 15, then opting to do a shorter but climbier route to 16. There was no option to skip a control, but there was a forked control decision. Alexander Preobrazhensky did a nice job on the map, given a USGS base, and also set an interesting and challenging course.
