Unspecified (Bridge Climb) 1:45:00 [3] 0.15 km (11:40:00 / km) +72m 3:25:53 / km

Matagarup Bridge climb and zipline back to Earth with PP on her birthday.

With my recent advancement to M75 I had to get my Doc to sign that I could do 20 sit-stands in 30 seconds, 15 lunges on each leg in 30 secs, and stand on each leg for 30 secs. Lunges are impossible, unless the poorly worded certificate really means 30 seconds for each leg, not 30 secs total.

Photos and (short) video.

Orienteering race 59:07 [4] 5.58 km (10:36 / km)
ahr:131 max:177 shoes: Inov8 Parkclaw 275

Medium course at Wireless Hill MetrO. Thought I had a reasonable route, but didn't see the NE loop that Sten took, which was much better. Had an AF attack after my 6th control, which only got worse. Should have headed for home and claimed a Short course finish. Had to walk and stop several times, once for at least 5 mins.

Road cycling 2:20:00 [3] 53.7 km (2:36 / km)
shoes: Bike: Alpenchallenge AMP Cross

Around the river including Mt Henry, and with PP from Swanbourne. Up and over the col Majestic at 20kph and was keen to see how I'd go up Stock Rd, but Burke Drive was closed for a triathlon so had to go up Wichmann instead.

In eco mode to Swanbourne (except for the Majestic) but the battery was still showing full after 40kms. Switched to high mode on leaving Swanny and used one bar on the ride home. Will get 100kms easy I reckon.

Bassendean, first ride on the new beemer. For the first 10kms or so I was thinking 'this is harder than it should be'. Was only in Eco mode but couldn't really feel any assistance at all, so tried Norm, then High - no change! I stopped, took my sunnies off and was immediately able to see a tiny error message on the display unit. Turned the battery off and on again, message gone so pressed on the pedals and whoosh! - 25km/hr almost immediately, felt the motor cut out at 25 but had no problem maintaining that speed, and the motor comes back as soon you drop below it. Tried the Norm and High levels - even better acceleration, but I'd say that Eco is ok for most roads around Perth and conserves the battery. And it hadn't really been that hard pedalling without assistance on the flat or even over small hills, the bike only weighs about 4kgs more than the other beemer. And it really picks up speed downhill with the extra weight. I won't have to worry about getting home if the battery ever runs out. Only used the 4-5 highest gears, guess I'd have to go to Switzerland to use the giant cog.

Got some admiring looks and some questions at the cafe, then whizzed up and over Lawley mountain to home.
