shoes: Bike: GT Avalanche

Totally forgot about servicing the bike since the last race, so gear changes were still a mess. Must get service done before 24 October. Nice day for riding, cool and cloudy.

My modem has packed in, so no voip, broadband or wireless, only a dial-up connection on the phone line, using JB's laptop.

Reabold run, pretty cold morning. Felt very stiff - ankles, knees, hips, and sore - achilles, calves, hams, quads. In other words, felt as though I was running with no power whatsoever. Thought for sure that I wouldn't have to do the extra hill, and just about to go straight ahead when I glanced at the watch - 39:10! So had to turn left and go back up - a real struggle.

Bridges and full lap of Heirisson. Started late (6pm), and totally dark on the Island. Nice night, but a bit cold.

Kings Park run, felt weary and a bit sore, and eased off when I felt some calf tightening on the Gun hill. Very surprised (and pleased) at the time therefore.
