Badge event at Lovers' Lane, running M55. Last starter 2 mins after Noel, got to no. 1 ok, but no flag, checked a depression about 30m away, then read description - which I should have read in the first place. Flag was right off the end of the feature (a knoll) and couldn't be seen even when standing on top of the knoll - about 30 seconds lost. No other mistakes, a bit wide on 4 but it didn't matter because it gave a perfetct contouring lead-in to the control. Caught Noel at 6, then he lost time at 7 so didn't see him again. GPS distance 5.23km.
