I was actually awake for this race!

In the beginning I was reasonably slow, but after the second-third control I picked up the pace and went into semi-beast mode.

(semi because its still too early in the season to release the full beast)

Orienteering race 38:07 [3]

My oh my this was an eye opener! Over all I am pretty happy with my result considering the fact that this is my first race of the season!
Only mistake I had was that to the first control, I forgot which way was left and which way was right.... =D But other than that, everything went smoothly =)

Heh...

Well, this was even more-er of an eye opener-er...

I have never felt so fatigued during a race in my life!

And no, I don't meant that my legs were tired or anything physically. I literally mean that when I was racing, it was a struggle for me to stay awake! Almost as if I was on a morphine drip throughout the race! (Which I wasn't, in case there was any confusion).

So yeah, the race was basically me saying to myself "I know where I am", and being in a completely different area. Yay for teenage pig-headedness!

Damn you Parallel errors!

Glad this happened at this race instead of team trials though! Hopefully I can get enough rest and water between now and then!

For this week I'll cut out social life and get my projects done early so that I can go to sleep earlier.

This is the first time in six weeks that i am able to have an actual full rest day! No work, no school, no assignments!
Only things I really "need" to do today is:
- Some spring cleaning
- Stopping by the store and getting snacks for the trip to Troll Cup
- Buying a new compression brace for my knee+ ace bandage for my hips
- &Pack for this weekend's race

The Lovely Tim Chambers drew me some courses on yesterday's maps, so after I got let out of Bio, I chilled in the bean bag room and studied the new courses =)

Today's run was kind of annoying because halfway through the loop, I saw that the road crew was out fixing potholes... Funnnnnn

Two cool things about today tho!

1) I was actually able to wear shorts because of how warm it was!

2) I learned that GPS needs four different satellites in order to be precise. If there is a 3 nanosecond difference between the signals, then that could translate to the coordinates being 1 meter off.
