absolutely had to get out and do something today, so inbetween a big stirfry dinner and going over to my friend's house i did some absolutely wonderful hill intervals!!! what a fantastic idea.... the first 2 sets were crazy fast (don't know how that happened since it felt like i was going in slow motion...) but then the last 2 i just felt like i'd puke, keel over, faint, and then die all in that order. made it through all in one piece though. hip hip hooray!!

steeplechase!!!!! it was actually refreshing jumping into the water pit this time cause it was soooo incredibly hot!!! felt super duper tired this week though and definitely not quite as strong as last week. i wasn't hurdling the steeples right at all (except for the last which i ust did so perfectly, it was beautiful... tear :)) was in 5th for most of the race, and then moved up into 4th for the last lap cause i have some beef with the girl who was in 4th. therefore, i've qualified for eossa which shall be quite the adventure!!! :P

really did not want to run this week but i did much better than i thought i would. blew the start pretty badly and ended up in this big pack. spent the rest of the race trying to move up one person at a time, but there was there was this one girl who just kept sprinting ahead every single time i tried to pass her. oh bother. eventually though she burnt out and it was just me and this other girl in 5th and 6th. one of us wasn't going to qualify. oooh man!!!! last 100m and we both start our kick. last 50m i get appendixitis or whatever it's called. at least i though that's what it was until i realized that the pain was on my right side. it still super duper hurt and so i kinda ran the last little bit on a tilt trying to breathe and not curl up and die. yupyup so much fun. came 6th, just outside of qualifying but i don't really mind cause now i can just empty the tank for the steeplechase!!

what a blustery day!!!! thought i was going to just blow away across the experimental farm, but no i managed to stay on the ground the whole way home!! phew!!

dragged myself out for hills just after 9. and i must say that it was quite enjoyable. i thought it would be all spooky on the hill in the dark, but there were 2 baseball games happening so i had lots of light and great entertainment the whole time!!! :P the only complaint is the lights were just the right height that when i was running towards the edge of the hill at the top they were shinging right in my eyes. this resulted in a strange feeling of blindly running towards the edge of a cliff. quite exciting really. :P
pretty swell times and i only gave myself 1min rests inbetween each set.

aiming off exercise out at mccarthy woods. had to fight our way through the green which was a bugger but running on bearings was what i really needed. did alright for most of them but i know that i still need some work... :P

least favourite interval workout everrrr!!! up and down this hill along the same street 6 times running past the same cracks in the road while pondering the meaning of pancakes. had to run hard on the way up and then our rest was on the way down. oooh goodness!!! :P kept it pretty consistant though!! yay!!!

toodling around at the trianble ski club doint some single track. didn't fly over the handle bars this time!! yay!!! oh and they made some new trails which were lots of fun to explore!!! quite the adventure!! :)

long distance. holy macaroni! i don't think i've ever run so fast for so long in my whole entire life!!! by control 10 eric, igor, and mike had all caught up to me so there were lots of people to push the pace. made a silly mistake on 4 and then my route to 10 was a bit iffy/squiggly but i really didn't want to run along the trail so cutting through the woods was an adventure. ended up being mike and i leap frogging until 20. then i got reckless and didn't look at my compass at all cutting across the trails and ended up wayyyyy too far to the east. fixed it alright but lost mike. oooh shucks!! :P :P finished the rest of the course just fine apart from being totally exhuasted and wanting to walk down the finish chute. :P really happy about my orienteering at that speed. could read the map just fine i know i just need to look at my compass more for bearings and read ahead to figure out routes and the like. fantabulous weekend and really enjoyed the woods and course!!!! :)
