orienteering 1:23:00 [3]

One minute faster than yesterday, plus it was longer today!!! Had an awesome race, and managed to go a lot faster at the end!!! Just made a mistake at control 8 where I wasn't sure where I was, so I went back to relocate and I think it ended up that I was just about 20m from where the control actually was!!! grr... Had an absolutely beautiful control 3. It was one of the longer ones and I had the best route there...along the swamp, through the re-entrant, up the stream, and then slowly into the control, and I was standing on a cliff, I looked down, and there it was!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!! :P (Beat my dad by a minute and 10sec.)

Event: HVO A-Meet

orienteering race 1:24:00 [3]

First race and we had beautiful weather and the terrain was amazing!!! Messed up on the first control, must've run right past it cause I kinda recognized the area...Anyways, took it a lot slower for the next controls so that I could get into the map better. Felt really good cause I'd be running, and be able to say "ok the control is going to be on the other side of that boulder." And it was!!! Had an iffy route choice to control 5 (ended up doing a little bit of rock climbing...) so I had a pretty great race!!!

running 2:41 [5] 0.8 km (3:21 / km)

The 800m run is sooo fast!!! My throat was burning by the end but I didn't have a bad race. Pretty good start and I ended up coming 4th!!!

running 12:16 [5] 3.0 km (4:05 / km)

Had a really good 3km race although I think I could've pushed a bit harder. The midgets, juniors, and seniors all raced together so it was hard to tell how you were doing compared to your age group. Had enough left for a sick sprint into the finish. Afterwards, the coach told me that I should be dead tired after a race like that, so I'm not running hard enough!!! :P Guess I'll have to push myself more then...
Oh ya, ended up 3rd!!!!

running 1:00 [5] 0.4 mi (2:30 / mi)

Totally guessing my time there, but I was the 400m runner in the medley. I think that's the hardest I've ever gone doing a whole lap around the track, which felt good but we came last in our heat anyways. We didn't have much of a chance though because we were running up with the juniors and against to A teams!!!

running warm up/down 25:00 [1]

Went to track before band, but only got to stay for the warm ups and techinique training...not that fun

running 50:00 [3]

Had another track practise after school and I was the only girl with 5 other guys and the coach. Did a 1.5km warm up and then a bunch of technique that was really weird but it was still hard. Then, we played Lap the Old Man!!! The hardest training ever!!! You have to lap the "old man" who's running slowly but it's still super hard and tiring. On our cool down talked about some very um interesting topics seeing as there were 5 guys there...won't say anything else though!!! :P

orienteering 1:30:00 [2]

Did 2 different courses on Dick Bell park and Andrew Hayden working on control taking. Didn't go to fast cause I was kinda burned out from lapping the old man, but it was good since I could slow down, figure out where I was going and then "punch" the control and then take off!!! Afterwards we did a really fun but confusing relay where we had to pick up letters that would from a sentence. SENS WIN THE STANLEY CUP

school sports (track) 1:00:00 [3]

Ran down to the Notre Dame track and did 2 laps as a warm up. Then some stretching on some techinique. Did a bunch of 200m dashes going from about 60% all the up to full out and then back.

Note

Went to football halfway through band, but I had missed all of thecardio stuff so we just did some football plays which doesn't really count as training.
