Driving to Jakobsberg to first visit my mother and then to Uppsala to Maria and Erik. We had tickets for a street dance version of "Snow White" in Stockholm. We took the train down so this is walking to/from the train station in Uppsala and to/from Dansens Hus in Stockholm.

First Tuesday hike this year. Starting at Tomnäs Old School and visiting some remnants from anthroposophic activities in the area. On top of a hill there were lots of huge cairns and stone walls and also lots of pits, mostly large. This was supposedly a part of their workings and philosophy to take care of the forest and plants in a natural way (?). In one place there was a "construction" looking more like something created for religious sacrifice: A large stone "altar" surrounded by a high stone wall. This we were told was a place were they burned wood to make coal and eventually use that and the ashes for fertilizing the forest. After this we continued on our hike - about 35 of us - in a more normal setting with a half-way stop for fika as always. Nice weather with temps around +5C and bare ground all over, except for the occasional patch of ice on the trail.
