Dalaportens OL, Middle Distance
I didn´t decide whether I would be running or not until just before we left home. Was a bit uncertain if my leg/calf would be OK, but decided to try an easy jog and at least pick up my map.
Well, I ran the whole course and it felt reasonably good, but my uncertainty made me miss the tricky first control since my mind was more on how my leg felt and where to put my feet than on the map. The rest of the course my orienteering was good except for missing an indistinct trail junction going to #6 and running a short distance on the wrong trail.

My left knee and calf (the usual of course) have been playing tricks on me for the last week or so. Felt a bit weak and stiff/sore a couple of days before Tiomila. Then I took 'precautions' after the weekend and rested one extra day instead of training on the usual Tuesday training (not hard to do since there was no club training anyway).
Obviously - or at least that´s my guess - I´ve been walking and standing so much at Tiomila (+ running) that my weaker leg became even weaker. Once again I realize that a little more strength training would be in order - but it usually doesn´t happen...

Warm/up from the car to the start of the O training - started out with an easy run on one of the loops for route choice practice, but felt after only a short while that it would be impossible to run the whole thing. Stopped to stretch my sore calf and kept going a bit further, but had to turn back and mostly walk/jog back before I even got to control #1.
Didn´t feel good at all after coming home and I was limping around the house for the rest of the evening :(

Easy trail running from home up to the club-house to celebrate the good results at Tiomila. My left calf felt a bit sore after running.

No orienteering meet or training today either. More rest was needed after Tiomila. Maria ran in an event in Gävle with the training group.

Maria went with the other kids in the HD13-14 group to a training camp in Högbo/Gävle.
Went to work for a couple of hours but both body and mind were 'dead' from the Tiomila weekend...
