Orienteering race 30:00 [3]

NAO longdistance champs.
Only came to ctrl 6, then my calves cramped up.

Orienteering warm up/down 20:00 [3]

Warm up

Orienteering race 43:00 [5] **** 6.2 km (6:56 / km)

NAO champs, Middledistance.
Had a good feeling the whole race, really enjoyed it. End was very stressed though. Made about 4*15-20 seconds mistake at the last 5 controls just because of stress. Caught Rob at 12, and then ran to fast for my own orienteering to 13 which resulted in a 2min mistake there as well.

Anyway happy with the speed I could keep up and my general feeling. And of course a bronze medal isn't that bad.

Orienteering warm up/down 30:00 [3]

Warm up for the middle distance.

Orienteering race 10:30 [5] 2.1 km (5:00 / km)

1st event of North Americans. Sprint distance.
Had a good race, only some very small stufs, not even countable. Could perhaps have run slightly faster at some places but knew another race would come later.

Orienteering warm up/down 1:05:00 [3]

Warm up 1st race:
Long one, about 30mins to get the long ride out of my legs.
Warm down 1st race:
About 15 mins.
Warm up 2nd race:
20mins.
Warm down 2nd race:
Almost none, cold and wet. Wanted to see the other guys as well.

Orienteering race 18:03 [5] 3.5 km (5:09 / km)

2nd race of sprint champs North Americans.
Wanted to keep my 1st place, strategy before race therefore was to keep it steady. But when the adrenaline gets you often a plan like that is hard to hold on to. Ran fast and with offense from beginning.
At 6th control a silly mistake appeared that shouldn't. Appr: 15-20s lost. Then some bad routes. But held the speed up good the rest and could because of that keep my total first place of the Sprint Championships.
