Fun sprint in Stirling with Emma. We had two long legs that required some difficult decision making. Emma caught me after the longest leg. She went low and I did some extra climb which was dumb. My legs were pretty tired from our hike yesterday.

Running warm up/down 2:39 [2] 0.31 mi (8:33 / mi)

Strength 15:00 [3]

Core, glutes, hamstrings, hips (ouch), arms.

I noticed some hip pain near the end of the upwards portion, but after resting and snacking at the top it went away. I didn't feel it at all on the way down. (phew)

Rainy and chilly!

Sprint course in Edinburgh. I got caught two times. I need to be more careful when crossing main roads to make sure I go down the correct alley.

Super fun sprint training in Edinburgh with Emma. We did a control pick exercise that involved a lot of close reading. It was a good way to get into the map and practice visualizing the control circle which is something I've been working on recently.
I had two mistakes. The first one: I did not pay close enough attention to which alley I entered and ended up going halfway down the wrong one before admitting my mistake and turning around. The second one: Emma and I were together and both got trapped by the control not seeing an uncrossable wall marked on the edge of the circle. We also corrected poorly, not noticing a much faster route further north that involved a tunnel...

Hiking 45:00 [1] 1.68 mi (26:47 / mi) +150m 20:58 / mi

To the summit of Arthur's Seat. Took some pretty pictures at the top and munched on mint chocolate and peaches.
