Orienteering race 1:30:09 [4] 8.1 km (11:08 / km) +325m 9:16 / km

Really clean race today, and a fun course. Started getting tired around control 12, and I could tell I was slowing down, but I managed not to make any major mistakes. There was a good amount of off-trail, and I was surprised at how well I was reading the map, especially with trying to push the pace. Very happy with how I did!

Running 42:00 [3] 5.04 mi (8:20 / mi)

Finally got back to my apartment at 9pm, so naturally it seemed like a good time go running. It felt like a productive alternative to doing homework, so I'm just going to pretend that it wasn't a form of procrastination. Didn't feel great after having a chocolate milkshake (happy national chocolate milkshake day) and pizza (it was free) for dinner, but I didn't feel too awful either. And it probably was more productive than me sitting and staring at my homework that I didn't want to do, so I'll call it a win.

Running 45:00 [3] 5.48 mi (8:13 / mi)

This was that one time this semester I was actually motivated enough to get up early and run before class. I'm a little sore from the gym on Saturday, and my legs were tired from orienteering yesterday, but it was still a good run, and the fresh morning air was a good way to wake up I guess.

Yoga 50:00 [2]

We're getting into doing more actual yoga now! We did some full sun salutations and some other good stuff, but of course nothing can beat that last shavasana...

Orienteering 1:17:26 [3] 6.7 km (11:33 / km) +210m 9:59 / km

Solid course today - no major mistakes for the second meet in a row! There were several small bobbles - off on compass bearings, lots of hesitation, questionable route choice, but I managed to stay away from any big mistakes. I think I did better at consistently pushing the pace on this course, and managed a win with a tight top three. Mostly I think this was due to consistency, since I only had the fastest time on 2 of the legs, but keeping focus for the entire course is a challenge in itself. Can't wait for more orienteering next weekend!
