running warm up. I got pretty tired on the course yesterday and since today was longer and I no longer had any gels to eat during the run I decided to shorten the running warm up and start the course a little slow

Orienteering 1:13:35 [3] 10.1 km (7:17 / km)

Started off a little slow as planned and then began to pick up the pace after being off on a bearing to a trail and having to run on the trail to correct. From then I really didn't have any mistakes, just some trouble following my compass and finding a fast route through the brush. I've also noticed that hills are not my friend at all. This does not come as a surprise but they were worse than they have been in the past for me.

I'm very happy with how today went. I definitely see a lot of areas where I can improve after this weekend but it's nice to know that on a good day I can keep up with the rest of M21.

Also enjoyed doing course reviews with the juniors.

Started out fairly cautious today in the hopes that I wouldn't hurt my ankle again. I also got some tape from Michael and taped it before my race. It definitely helped as there were a few times I started to feel it over-extending and then the tape caught my foot. Overall I felt a little slow and made a few mistakes. I lost a lot of time on the last couple controls just from being tired but I also wanted to save some energy for the next day so I didn't try very hard to push through it.

Got off to a good start then twisted my ankle. It took 10-15 minutes before I could run full speed again. Last few controls felt good and went well.
