Went to Lake Elmo with the idea of practicing on the permanent orienteering course but decided to ski instead. Too many common routes with ski trails. Still sore from yesterday. Just have to toughen up.

Super fun. Beautiful trips across fresh powder on frozen lakes. Only fell twice! Inner thighs screamed at me the rest of the day. Really want to learn to skate now.

Bloomington Bass Ponds and Hogback trail. 2 inches of crunchy snow. Boardwalks slippery. Nice to run past 5:30 in daylight.

XC ski classic 58:33 [3] 5.55 mi (10:33 / mi)

First ski at Lake Elmo. Orange and brown loops. Low 30's. Tracks varied from good to non-existant. Tweaked my left leg a little so slower than expected. Need more snow but mediocre conditions help me practice balance and control.
