Skate Skiing 45:00 [2]

Low intensity session with Heather. Stopped in to visit with Perry.

Snowboarding 3:00:00 [1]

Spent the day on the hill with Michel, he's in good shape himself and we don't waste too much time standing around. Knocked down the hours from 5 and intensity, but we do hit it pretty hard and did some hiking into the back (Gill's) - breaking our own trail in the snow.

Took a stump to the outside of my right thigh - got a pretty good bruise to show for it.

Note

Had my annual pulmonary test for work physical. Of note, I had a 8-9% increase after sucking on a ventilator - so is this performance enhancing? Probably everybody is in the realm, but I'm wondering when they end up recommending one for folks. Oh, I am 184 lbs as well - +6 lbs from last year. But, I have been focused on strength vs. cardio the last two months so I'm sticking to that being the reason.

Hock-ay 1:00:00 [3]

1.75 hours of ice hockey, but I'll knock it down to an actual hour of training. Not the best training I know, really just short interval spurts that take you right out of the zones, but it is fun and I do need to work on speed. Oh, we won, had about 12 assists, but blanked by the goalie and posts...

Strength (Gym at lunch: #6) 30:00 [1]
weight:82.6kg

Lazy and sore. Did about 3/4 of routine and then hit the hot tub.

Note

O.K. This was somewhat pathetic for a day. The plan was ice hockey at night, so I'd lay off a little, but then I forgot we changed rinks and by then I was too late to travel cross town. Uber-focused on training, I went home and played Xbox.

Running (Commuting to work) 15:00 [2] 2.0 km (7:30 / km)

Sore from strength training. Still fighting off the tail (I hope) end of this cold.

Spin Class 50:00 [4]

Lunch time gym spin class

Skate Skiing 1:00:00 [3] 10.4 km (5:46 / km)

Evening ski at Stake Lake. Fresh, warm snow, and too cold of wax. Always a workout this sport.

Running (Commuting Home) 15:00 [3] 2.0 km (7:30 / km) +150m 5:27 / km

Running (Commuting home) 15:00 [3] 2.0 km (7:30 / km) +150m 5:27 / km

Strength (Workout #6: Gym at lunch) 1:00:00 [2]

Felt a bit tired at gym. Need to increase calorie intake around this time.

Running (Commuting to work) 15:00 [2] 2.0 km (7:30 / km)

Fresh cm of snow on ground. Streets slippery, trails muddy and wet. All good. No complaints.

Running (Commuting to work) 15:00 [2] 2.0 km (7:30 / km)

With recent warm weather, motivated to start my cardio training earlier. Ditched the vehicle and started running to/from work. Also, good race training (for AR) as I need to take a pack with me. Unfortunately it is a short run, I could get up earlier and run further, but I'm more of an evening trainer typically (we'll see).

Running (Commuting home) 15:00 [3] 2.0 km (7:30 / km) +150m 5:27 / km

Running home from work. Good hill climb with pack on. Short run, but good break at end of day.

Strength (#5 Workout: Gym at Lunch) 1:00:00 [2]

Note

First Day of Posting on Attackpoint.

I have a paper log that I'm not going to back entry:-). But spent the last two months more focused on strength training than I have been in awhile - had the opportunity as we pulled out of the World's (AR) and didn't have a race for awhile.
