Run race 21:01 [4] 3.1 mi (6:47 / mi)
shoes: Altra Torin 1.5 W9.5

Arlington Memorial 5k around the Pentagon as a recruit class. Big public safety event. 3 of us ran ahead of the recruit formation. Legs were a bit dead early and had to pee the whole race (4 porta potties for 3k+ ppl). Not a bad finish for the wk of fire school. First in the class and 1st OA for fire.

3 15min stations. First was on the hill. Things like burpees, low crawl, reverse lunge up the hill, run back down. Then weight room circuit. Then tower run with movements at the top. With all the downhill and running down stairs, can't imagine why my knees hurt.
1 PM

Fire 2:00:00 [3]

shoes: Altra LP 2.5 W9.5 blue

Paddle across the high seas of the Potomac and back. Took out at Occoquan Wildlife Refuge. Little did we know, no dogs were allowed. We found out at the parking lot and hightailed it back to our boats. Walking of course, because no running is allowed in the refuge. No joke! Very cool marshy area with a good portion of the trail running right along the river. Great breeze.
