Orienteering (MTBO) 1:06:20 [3] 7.53 mi (8:49 / mi) +850ft 7:58 / mi

Medium (longest) course. Went pretty conservative to not overrun my intersections. Bobbled 4 and 8. Missed the turn in at 4 and went to the next turn. Apparently that intersection is hard to see because it comes back in on itself. Realized my error right away when I could see RR tracks. Then at 8 I took a trail too far south and had to make my way back. Overall, felt very connected with the map. Fun course. 5th overall even.

Orienteering 1:02:09 [3] 7.0 km (8:53 / km)
shoes: Altra LP 2.5 W9.5 blue

Didn't turn the tracker on. 75min Score-O. Didn't judge my time well and finished way too short. Should have gone for the furthest 3 points...they were even repeat CPs from the bike earlier. I would have had the option to drop up to 3 that were past the finish at the end.

About 30min running with D and Rico at PW Forest. The rest walking. Knees are hurting from the wk.

PT 1:20:00 [3]
shoes: Altra Intuition2 10

Circuit with 18-20 exercises. 1:00 intervals for the first round, :30 for the 2nd. Lots of fire specific movements...ladders, hose. I paired up with the biggest strong guy in the class, and then they announced the final station...fireman's carry. Ha! I honestly didn't think I could throw 275+ over my shoulder, but it wasn't that bad. Was even able to jog with him. Shocked myself a lil.

shoes: Altra Intuition2 10

Battalion races pushing passenger vans around campus and of course uphill. Downhill we couldn't even keep up with it sprinting at times. Then ropes attached to the front and pulled up a small incline in groups of 4-7. More pushing for a cool down.

PT 1:40:00 [3] 6.0 mi (16:40 / mi)
shoes: Altra Intuition2 10

Mostly running, half in formation, half tempo. Some exercises. Knees are achy. Definitely feeling the missing cartilage this wk.

PT 2:50:00 [4]

Started out with lots of towers, pushups, 6", iron crosses. Then were split into 2 battalions and told to take all our gear up to the top of the tower so we could play Build-a-Bear. This involves a tower run, put on 1 piece of gear, back down. Hood, left boot, right boot, pants, coat, radio strap, SCBA/mask. In btwn tower runs, we flipped tires around the burn bldg in sets of 3 and 4 for the reg tires. After 4 rounds, switched to big tire for singles. After we had successfully built our bear with SCBA, we went head to head once with the other battalion and won for once. All told, 12 trips up the tower. This was a long sustained workout but significantly easier than the tire day last wk. Afterwards, one guy was cramping and couldn't walk back, so I carried 2 air packs. And regretted it haha. That meant I humped 100# of gear across campus.
