after taking Claire for an hour walk did full stretching and resistance band hip 4-ways. Right knee still swollen.

went for a 90 minute walk on the KotoBuki trails at North Park after work- still resting. During PT (full stretching except quads and heal raises, heal walks and ankle rotations) right knee was still swollen. Everything a little better on walk though.

Aqua-jogging 30:00 [3]

Went to Y to get in pool to see if that might help loosen things up and promote some healing. What it did do was show me just how damaged I am. Right leg felt like a chain of damage. My tight quad tugging on my T.A. and my damaged calf pulling on my hamstring. My left knee was a more consistent irritation. The emphasis of where I felt thing shifted throughout the 30 minutes but I actually felt more banged up after I got out of the water then before... not what I was expecting. It did improve as I went through lower intensity PT exercises.

after doing the leg press and knee extensions at the Y after aqua-jogging, did full flexibility (except quads) and wall squats with single leg raised squats. Right knee still has good amount of swelling.

Once I have started resting, I may as well do it right. I have a feeling the results may be the same though...

Took an hour long walk through the nature center trails at north park. In am going To keep off anything more intense until I don't. Feel any problems walking, a minimal expectation. I felt tightness in the knee ant the tug on my right T.A. My calf still feels damaged on the right side and I felt some irritation on both knees heading uphill.

PT was full flexibility except stretching quads. All 4 directions with hip strengthening.

As far as my knee tweak from yesterday, it did feel better, but it was definitely swollen when I was stretching in the evening.

Note

Tweaked my right knee just walking around at state testing today. Hopefully won't turn into much, but is definitely a validation of how tight my knee has been feeling over the last few days.

day off from everything but PT again. Went fr about an hour walk though the neighborhood and the knee felt much better, but vulnerable.

PT: stretching all except quads. heel walks, toe raises, ankle circles

PT (Quad/hamstring focus) 1:00:00 [3]

Knees very tight and right calf is tight. I got on the bike for a few minutes and knew today needed to be an off day. I was near the Y and went and hopped on the leg press and knee extension machines, then followed up with wall squats and one leg raised squats. The tugging on my T.A. survived the machines but then bothered me in the wall squats. I was trying to stay well within my abilities on all as I introduced machines to my PT for the first time in a while.

I did feel some difficulty in the eccentric contraction of my left knee on the leg press during the tightest angles of motion. Not sure if that is part of the issues I am having with my left knee or not.

Elliptical 40:00 [3]

Only chance to exercise was at Gail's office when I took Claire in to visit her while she was stuck at work all weekend. My calf is really roughed up so I wanted to stay off as much impact as possible. I did the elliptical for the second time in a week?! This time it felt as awkward as I remember. Mostly because I just could not get a natural stride out of my left leg. My right leg, where my calf and knee were bothering me during the day, was fine. I felt the extension/contraction in both legs, but my left just wasn't planting and driving properly. I was also extremely dehydrated and that was causing problems as well. I never recovered from going into yesterday's night-O dehydrated. As a result, I could barely get my heart-rate up to 140 and that was only in the last 2-minutes.
