First Quantico meet. Orange course. Very fun!

I had one bad control at the beginning when I was trying to beat the other people on my course and didn't pick the right route (or keep track of where I was on my chosen route), but the most everything else was great! I had one more bad control in the middle where I thought I knew where I was until all of a sudden nothing made sense. I finally relocated off of a fallen hunting stand (thank you swedish orienteering for being confident about THAT symbol) and tried again. Again, I got lost. Finally, on the third attempt I got it. While showing the course to Boris, he said "look at my map and you'll see why you were so confused". Turns out the hill to my right that I was orienting off of was really a depression, but the one notch indicating so was covered up by the purple line. I was pretty upset about that control, so very happy and willing to let it go as a mapping problem rather than representing my ability to orienteer.

I ran on the treadmill and found a program that "coaches" you through the run... It was like spinning for the treadmill. I probably went a little too easy this time, but I got through a 45 minute run without feeling like i wanted to stop. I will do this again.
