Lesson from Raj with Ben.
Worked on:
- Getting more punch on volleys with earlier prep & shorter back swing.
- Court positioning after hitting tight drives.
- Egyptian game - not letting the ball hit the back wall. Need more penetration in my shots to match Ben here.
- Restricted game where person in front has to go deep, person behind can do any shot (practicing watching & covering all shots when in front).

Fairly straightforward course. Went out first to test the Duke's course and wake up the controls. Was slow through the half warming up. 18 was in the wrong spot initially (middle hedge) so went back after my run and put it in the right spot.

8th, 2min behind Aidan.

SSS 22 at Cheltenham

Physically & technically demanding course. Enjoyed the challenging climbs & nice bush. A good puzzle which made me think about which controls to omit.

Route: 4-28-8-19-27-6-12-20-3-14-26-22-23-15-7-16-25-30-9-24-21-11-29-17-1. Skipped 2, 5 & 10 & couldn't find 18 - I couldn't read the map detail in the dark under the M2. My other main error was circling NE of 3 losing a minute or so. In hindsight a better plan would've been to skip 3 and go 20-23-14-26-22-15.

Not a clean run but still managed equal first with Richard M (500). Michael B & Greg 490. Results were unusual with 3 veterans in the top 4. Some misplaced controls cost James, Andy & Keelan and others.
