Slowed it down so I didn't make any mistakes, surprised at how well I could read the map while moving since that was never my strong point. Felt like I had pretty good flow and looked ahead a lot.

Didn't make any mistakes again but I was pretty tired, fun course though!
Had a great time and for officially running my first red courses I would say it went pretty well. Not really feeling the NY weather right now though :/

Felt great until around number 9 where I kinda died and I forgot energy gel so that didn't help. Didn't make any mistakes but I was going pretty darn slow and with 4 controls left I just wanted to stop. Good course...except for the climb part.

Ouch. That was steep. Ouch. Good thing I have been running track for the past 4 months :) made 2 mistakes and one was pretty rough. Control 1 took me around 13 minutes longer than it should have which is pretty bad. There was a group of like 5 of us that could not find it and we kept finding the control for the blue course. After that great start I was smooth until number 9. I was looking too far up the hill for the "bare rock" which is not the type of bare rock I was looking for. I was looking for a slab of rock even though it was a lot of small loose rocks. Other than that it went ok with lots of crawling up sides of hills (cliffs). The terrain is pretty different but I like it and it's so warm and nice! Also hoping I didn't get any poison oak which I was unaware of. Hah

Felt really lightheaded during school so I went home after lunch. Also had a call with a college coach after school, it went very well :)
