cycling 1 [1]
(rest day)

To school for field-checking, then to the library and home. Probably about 30 minutes, but at a really leisurely pace. Found out that Eliot Hall's a lot cooler-looking on an O' map than in real life! Got a new library card! And hamstring has felt almost normal all afternoon walking around the house!

field-checking 1 [0]

about 2 hours of field-checking at WashU. Still not getting an answer from Event Services though! E-mailed, got an out-of-office message. E-mailed again, got another one. Called, no answer.

Note
(rest day)

went on a couple longish walks today to loosen up the hamstring. I feel like it would almost be better if I weren't on my break right now, but at least this way I'm not missing any training!

running 30:00 [3] 3.33 mi (9:00 / mi)
(injured)

Hamstring felt terrible when I woke up, then remembered it had been a little tight last night. We had no ice, so the best I could do was borrow some ibuprofen. So it started off hard to walk on, but then Pavlina gave me this awesome rub-on anti-inflammatory, and I could jog around the parking lot without pain. When I jogged to the start it only hurt a tiny bit, but as soon as I stopped jogging it hurt again. I started anyway because I thought it was just a matter of keeping it loose, but as soon as I got of the trail I could tell it wasn't going to work. So I walked back.
