Orienteering race (sl11) 53:00 [5] 6.17 km (8:35 / km)
ahr:158 max:175

strange ran ..
excellent start (running late, had to miss stage 1 of the pre start) but hit the first 4 controls well .. up 45 seconds on Patrik.

overran 5 but read contours and realised so small loss 30-60 sec?

started going straight to 6 but changed my mind and went up to track, but went in too early 30 sec?

missed a track to cross the stream so overran tracks S of 7 (30-60 sec?)

felt very flat from 7-14 - after a few errors 5,6,7 I knew my run wasn't great and looked like lots of up and down hills for the rest of the course

clean run but not fast to 9 but managed best split ??
tried to go straight 10-11 but it was slow, veered off to the track which seemed much faster. a bit unsure at 12 lost about 30s working out where I was.
went the wrong way out of 12 for 30 secs, then realised and went S (i could pretend I was contouring, but that isn't true)
attempted to see 14 from track, but no luck so overran, saw a competitor at 14 and it took me out of my "meh" mood and decided to go hard.

had a very good run from 14-finish, pushing hard.

fastest split 19-20, I assume it was because i knew where the pits were from the tracks, so I hit it fast and clean.

glad i finished the way I did.

won 35a but beaten by a few others on hard 1

ran hard (for me)
lost very little time in nav possible time losses (less than 10 secs) were:
4-5 went right
13-14 went right but not the path next to building
18-19 went right
20-21 right again - I guess I have issues going left?
but dont think I could have made up much time

fastest split from 7-8 for some reason, I assume it was because I looked for it going 5-6 and didn't see it so had a read of the control description (was guessing stairs but it was between buildings) so I didn't lose any time and had a clear idea on where it was?.


HR went from 100 at start to 170 in 45 seconds
jumped for 4 mins between 165 and 171 then almost a dead straight line for 15 mins increasing from 169 to 175

Orienteering race (sl10b) 17:00 [5] 2.93 km (5:48 / km)
ahr:162 max:172

got lucky with 1 guessed it was under the overpass.
managed the correct path to 2 without losing time.
no real nav choices until 8, right from 7-8 and right 8-9, right 14-15, checked the path to 16 before going around .. lost time here. I really wanted to go right :(
