MTB Urban (Commute) 17:53 [2] 6.9 km (23.2 kph) +41m
shoes: Diadora XTrail 2 C

Slower commute in today!? I'll blame the cold headwind and lack of coffee :-D [The irony here is I tried to remember to stop my watch at stop lights to get a "ride time", and it was still worse, lol]

MTB Urban ( commute) 16:45 [3] 6.9 km (24.7 kph) +60m
shoes: Diadora XTrail 2 C

Best return ride time yet, on MTB. Late enough I didn't feel guilty rolling the lights.

MTB Urban (Commute) 52:00 [3] 20.24 km (23.4 kph)
shoes: Diadora XTrail 2 C

Ride out and back to the hydrocut.ca trails for morning of trail maintenance. Back to wearing toques and gloves. A headwind in both directions, lol.

Other (Trail Building) 2:30:00 [2]

Installing new boardwalks on Katelyn's and Bypass. The Katelyn's boardwalk became a bit of a feature, with the line moving slightly, improved approach and exit, better drainage with the new curves in the trail. (We even moved bushes and landscaped a bit to try make it pretty, although the wet heavy grass on clay soil made this all a bit difficult)

[Still quite sad to see the un-repairable damage done to Katelyn's by riders riding wet trails, which has created a massive erosion problem. The change helped mitigate further damage a bit, but moving the trail, that took hundres of volunteer hours to build, is likely the only reasonable repair option, sigh]

Note
(rest day)

Well... not much of a rest day when I went to bed so late Friday and had to get up early for the market, lol. Still didn't feel recharged Sunday AM.

Road Riding intervals 1:20:00 [4] 40.0 km (30.0 kph)
shoes: Diadora XTrail 2 C

Nothing starts a day like getting schooled in intervals... (Although being arrogant enough to attack from the start, I deserved it :-D )

Ride to start, warmup, Intervals 8min+2min x4 [will tweak numbers], cooldown, and ride home again [actually all of that was 2 hours with talking time in there as well].

First instruction on peloton riding, although the rotation of riders seemed backwards from what I expected.

Road Riding ( commute) 15:30 [3] 6.9 km (26.7 kph) +41m
shoes: Diadora XTrail 2 C

I would have thought the fast bike would have saved time getting to work, but in reality I literally hit all the stop lights (grrr) [ The only light I didn't hit was because I coasted, lol]

Road Riding ( commute) 22:00 [3] 6.9 km (18.8 kph) +60m
shoes: Diadora XTrail 2 C

Hmm... should have not took the chance on the old rim tape, the back tire blew. I don't think I've ever seen the rim tape suck to the tire before; it was like little pieces of red rim tape confetti stuck to the tire at every point where the hole on the rim was. Rotated the rim tape just enough to cover the holes and with my spare tube, got home ok ( although it was dusk at that point and didn't pack lights, so didn't feel too safe or there)
