BRUTAL run (be we managed to enjoy it) from the top of the Swiss Trail to Peak to Peak Hwy and back, with MA and Berlin. We had planned to run down the ST to Sunset and back, but the whole route was still covered in snow. So, we opted to run down Gold Hill Road instead. Even though the sun was warm (nearly 50 degrees today and not a cloud in the sky), the winds were absolutely brutal. I could hear Andrew the whole way, cursing at them. It was gusting to at least 65, maybe 75 on occasion. Hurt so bad we frequently had to turn around and go backwards. Still, we persisted on... most of the first four miles uphill into the headwind blowing off of the divide. The return, mostly downhill and with a serious tailwind, was fast.
Berlin didn't seem to mind the winds one bit.
Glad we went! Ate spinach quiche afterwards.....
