This 'warm-up' event was certainly-- WARM!
Took it easy in the heat, got accustomed to the map. Spent some more time standing than usual-- took a while to let all the cliffs n things click in. Although the standing seemed worth it when I was able to identify a far away feature. Also, it's easy to make parallel errors in this terrain. Was just trying to run clean.
Took a a hard ankle roll. (

Glad I didn't pop a bursa sack or anything important! What's hilarious is that I was WALKING on a TRAIL when it happened. (Reading my map, obvs.)
Allin all, slow and clunky, but a welcome and scenic warm-up for the next day's Goat!
