Orienteering race 55:37 [4]
Orienteering!
This was a pleasant post-wedding way to get back to it. Other than getting stuck in a blackberried trail that disappeared at #1, I had a clean race.
I'm proud of myself for putting the brakes on when approaching maze-y areas, as it looks like that was the most common place to lose time.
Interestingly, without time loss, Nina and I were running at a similar speed, which deflates my theory that she just runs faster. Although who knows, she could have been taking it easy.
I also ran more comfortably than expected, given that I'd just about given up on exercise during the last weeks/months of wedding planning. It's mostly hills that hurt. I'm glad it's not all gone!
The swoopiness of the mountain bike trails were a treat.
Time to get some consistent miles in!
