Ankle Training:
Since running is not an option right now, I guess I will focus on repairing the ankle. A friend lent me his board (with a wooden half ball glued on the bottom) for ankle exercises. Resisted for an hour trying to balance myself there, and added a bunch of other exercises to the mix. Will keep doing this for 14 days at least and hopefully there will be a healthier ankle attached to my leg at the end of it.
