Orienteering 2:30:00 [3]

3 sprints at Fairfield University, very interesting courses. I was able to run at a good pace and felt the challenge due to the speed of navigation.

3 sprints on Campus from 2010 Team Trials. Again some tricky legs made it fun and challenging, but probably the pace was not as good as the morning. Nevertheless, good to be running and reading for a good amount of time.

Short Run 45:00 [3]

Good map reading during this training. Had two tough City Sprint Maps from POM2012, kept me busy for the whole run. At the beginning I was very frustrated concerning how much I had to slow down to read and make route choices. The second time I went over the courses it went much better. I was happy of the training at the end.

Track Intervals 1:00:00 [3]

Another Tuesday at the Harvard Track with the CSU gang. My legs felt pretty stiff at first so did not lead the workout as the previous Tuesdays. As we got into it though I felt better and the last cycle I was able to put some decent speed on the track. After it I feel like I need a rest day, tomorrow or Thursday.
It was good to keep up the schedule though, and these workouts are always pretty rewarding, especially if feeling stronger in the second part of it.

Long Run 1:10:54 [3]

BLUE HILLS SKYLINE TRAIL RACE, very fun roller-coaster. Put a good effort though did not want to get injured or run to the death. Will want to do it again next year.

Orienteering 50:00 [3]

NEOC MEET: Houghton Pond, 5ish km, technical training in low visibility area. Focused on maintain concentration after a tiring trail race. Made 1 mistake and had one moment of temporary and unnecessary confusion.
