Susquehanna Stumble. It was a fun course in very nice terrain. Cool and cloudy at the start, though the forecast was for upper 80s later. I started off chasing Eddie, to see how long I could hang on. He was pulling away on the way up to 8, and when he took a different route to 9 I didn't see him again. Wyatt passed me around 9, and then I chased him for a while. I did the next window in the opposite order as him, getting controls going downhill, figuring I could run the firm trail back up the hill. But the trail was more like a ditch filled with leaves, so that didn't really help. I guess it would have been better the other way. Getting tired and hot by this point. Probably should have gone more left/high to 15. Saw Wyatt on the dogleg at 16, but nobody behind me. More hot and tired. I think the last window was the hardest to pick a route for. I was happy with mine, Wyatt picked a different one so I saw him twice in there. Quite overheated by this point, though in the open I could see I wasn't going to be fighting for any places ahead or behind, so just kept moving. And, probably biggest "mistake" of the day, couldn't find the finish which was in the wrong spot and hidden by a swarm of JROTC kids. At least nobody passed me there.
No major leg issues, the forest was pretty gentle in that sense. Heel felt fine in the o-shoes, so it seems like after two long races, those are officially ok as long as I don't over-tighten them. blisters forming on the big-toes. I think I need to toughen up the skin of my feet somehow. I think I am recovered from my cold, though I suffered enough from the heat that it was sortof hard to tell.
