L Lower Leg, Calf Strain

After a month or orienteering OS with only blisters as a problem, I take a 15 minute run in melbourne and manage to pull a calf muscle. Hoping to be able to run for the maxi. Good thing I'm not running the Ironman. I compared kilometre rates for last years ironman and for this years Easter Prologue. The Ironman is about 15-20 seconds faster per kilometer. When Jymbo says he doesn't run faster than that event, he's correct.

Took a break, then decided I try it out on the Maxi-3hr. Worjed on the assumption that it was slow enough to get away with it. Hurt the first hour, but after that calmed down. After the race, so much is hurting that the claf is just background noise.
