L Foot, Impact wound / trauma

2019-07-13 – 2019-11-03

Grade: 3

Fall off climb, sudden impact on front of left heel. Feels like a injusto at the joint. All around quite sore on touch. First evening was very painful, couldn’t walk on it, almost considered hospital. But there was no visual indication of injury. Ice raise and pressure and ibuprofen.

Second day was able to start walking easy again. And more so the third day, where I was able to do easy climbing again.

Day four an easy run.

I feel comfortable signing off this injury now. It has not given me problems in recent training and racing these last couple week. I can still feel the residual stress when stretching in the joint but it no longer is a hindrance to my progress. Next time I will take my climbing more easy.

The best cure has been combination of massaging with muscle rub, daily stretching routine, calf raises, and walking in the outsides of my feet. Lots of rest and a good diet.
