L Lower Leg, Shin Splints

Rolled my left ankle in Middle Distance and pulled that leg. Also my leg was possibly weakened by my running shoes at the time. Pain changed from feeling muscular to feeling closer to the bone after a couple of weeks. There is now a strange lump on the shin bone about half way up.
Lots of cycling and spin classes for me now according to the physio (don't you love ACC?)!

Do not run in shoes that give you niggles EVER. Rest. Do alternative exercises that don't put a strain on the shins (i.e. no running).
