Grade: 2
Resurgence of left leg Achilles tendinopathy. Fine at rest but can't run for more than a couple of kms before it starts hurting. It particularly hurts on uphills.
Initial treatment: 3 x 1min isometrics using body weight on two legs. Single leg ones seemed to make it unhappy.
18/11 - doing calf strength every 2 days, 3 x 15 straight & bent leg. Left is quite a bit weaker than right.
26/11 - lessons:
- rest hasn't helped.
- eccentrics have greater acute effect
- isometrics during exercise are bad
