L Foot, Other

2012-01-01 – 2012-06-21

Grade: 0

Soreness/ ache outer side of left foot (base of fifth metatarsal where tendon attaches) after running, worse in morning after sleeping. Eases gradually on warming up and not much discomfort when running, but increased ache/soreness after running (inflammation??). Caused by trauma after landing on sharp rock during fell race. Repeated the trauma not long after, landing on the exact same spot as before. After seeing physio, probably have a plantar problem triggered by the trauma, so now doing lots of exercises!

Foot has been much better lately after seeing a different physio who diagnosed plantar fascitis. Since then have been stretching and strengthening foot and ankle.
